About the Person
Mr. Kevin M. Kern served as the Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President of Global Operations & Technology at First Data Corporation from May 2010 to January 30, 2013. Mr. Kern served as Chief Information Officer of Unisys Corp. since September 20, 2006. Mr. Kern joined Unisys from CA Technologies (formerly, CA, Inc.), where he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer since July 2004. Mr. Kern has 28 years of global IT and business experience, including stints at Wellpoint Health Networks, Hewlett-Packard and SAP America. He served as Chief Information Officer of Compaq Computer Corp.'s EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) organization. Later, upon the completion of Compaq's merger with Hewlett-Packard Co., he served as Vice President, Managed Services Design and Delivery, worldwide, where he lead customer solutions development, transition, and delivery. Mr. Kern started his career as an industrial engineer with Mack Trucks, where he developed a deep understanding of process and technology in manufacturing. Over the course of his career he has developed expertise in oil and gas, high tech and software. He was a recipient of the Information Week Top Innovators 500 Award. Mr. Kern holds an MBA from Wilkes University in Pennsylvania.
