About the Person

P. Kevin Chase is chief information officer of Sempra Energy, a San Diego-based Fortune 500 energy services holding company whose subsidiaries provide electricity, natural gas and value-added products and services. The Sempra Energy companies` more than 16,000 employees serve approximately 32 million consumers worldwide.   In his current role, Chase oversees information technology, corporate security and cybersecurity for Sempra Energy.   Chase joined Sempra Energy as chief information officer in 2017. Previously, Chase served as the chief information officer and senior vice president of technology and supply chain at Dallas-based Energy Future Holdings from 2011 to 2016. He was chief information officer and vice president of TXU Energy, a subsidiary of Energy Future Holdings from 2008 to 2011.   Prior to that, from 2005 to 2008, Chase was a vice president of Black & Veatch, a global engineering, consulting and construction firm, overseeing the company’s technology and strategic consulting practice. In 2005, Black & Veatch acquired Fortegra, a management consulting and technology services firm co-founded by Chase six years earlier. From 1993 to 1999, he was a senior manager at Accenture, leading enterprise and customer system implementations for some of the largest energy companies in North America.   He serves on the advisory committee for the CIO Institute at The University of Texas at Austin. Over the past several years, he served on the boards of directors of the Women`s Business Enterprise National Council and the Grapevine Relief and Community Exchange.   Chase graduated with honors from The University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He also completed the Wharton School’s Advanced Management Program.
