Houston, TX-based The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center has Appointed Keith Perry as Deputy Chief Information Officer.

About the Person

Keith Perry is currently Associate Vice President and Deputy Chief Information Officer at The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. In this role, he provides executive leadership for the Information Services division including managing the division’s $225 million ($125M operating / $100M capital) annual budget. In 2007, Keith was named by CIO Magazine as an ‘Ones to Watch’ award recipient. Mr. Perry also served as Director of Enterprise Technology and Director of Business Line Applications for US Oncology, Inc. He oversaw a team responsible for all technology infrastructure services including data center operations, production operations, customer service, security administration, infrastructure and application server engineering, network engineering, implementations, and telecommunication. He was also responsible for the application development infrastructure and business line services, which developed a clinical research technology strategy that supported the expanding business unit. He served as Director, Application Technology and Architecture at Columbia / HCA Healthcare (Nashville, Tennessee). The position directed the development methodology and standards, internet and intranet support, and application architecture consulting. Keith started his professional career at Pennzoil (Houston, Texas) providing client/server application development for exploration and production systems. Throughout his career, he has also provided management and technical consulting services across several industries including healthcare, legal, and capital investment. Keith completed his Bachelor of Science, Computer Science degree at Harding University (Searcy, Arkansas) in 1989. He also received his Masters Business Administration with a finance concentration from the University of Houston in 1993.
