Columbus, OH-based The Ohio State University hired Kathleen Starkoff as Chief Information Officer.
One of the largest universities in the United States, The Ohio State University is a leading research university and the model for the state of Ohio`s public higher education institutes. Founded in 1870 as a land-grant university, it was ranked in 2006 as one of the top 20 public universities in the United States. The main campus is located in Columbus, and regional campuses are located in Lima, Mansfield, Marion, Newark and Wooster.
Starkoff has over 24 years of information technology experience in the private sector including Limited Brands, Bank One, Key Corp., National City Corp., and International Business Machines. She comes to Ohio State most recently as group vice president and chief technology office for Limited Brands, where she provided leadership related to shared services implementation, transformation solution design, technology organization, applications development and operations, and enterprise risk management for an entrepreneurial enterprise with 180,000 employees. Starkoff received her bachelor’s degree in mathematics, cum laude, from Kent State University, and earned an MBA from Case Western Reserve University.
