About the Person

Kartal Goksel is an engineer and entrepreneur with more than 15 years of experience in the advertising technology sector. At Kargo, he leads a fast-growing team in spearheading new product development and expanding our platform capabilities. Prior to joining Kargo, Kartal was a VP of Engineering at PubMatic, where he led teams in designing and developing top-tier programmatic products. He also spent 10 years with CBS Interactive, where as Director of Software Engineering he built and managed systems serving half-a-billion ads a day. In his native Turkey, Kartal co-founded and built from the ground up two e-commerce sites, including the country’s first online sports store. Kartal earned computer science degrees from Graceland University and NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering. He lives in Manhattan with his wife and 22-pound cat, and follows Istanbul’s oldest soccer team, Beşiktaş.
