Joshua Schmidt joined Vertafore in 2008 as director of Information Risk Management. Schmidt has assisted many financial services companies in aligning their information risk management programs with regulatory requirements and international standards, including acting as Deutsche Bank’s data privacy officer for the Americas. Additionally, Schmidt has supported large online retailers and insurance carriers with integrating security into their software development practices. He has also held security and data privacy leadership positions at consulting firms such as KPMG LLP and IOActive, and industry groups such as the Information Systems Audit and Control Association, Information Systems Security Association, and the Washington Technology Industry Association.
