Additionally, Schmidt has supported large online retailers and insurance carriers with integrating security into their software development practices. He has also held security and data privacy leadership positions at consulting firms such as KPMG LLP and IOActive, and industry groups such as the Information Systems Audit and Control Association, Information Systems Security Association, and the Washington Technology Industry Association.
