Joe Robinson is executive vice president and chief information officer overseeing the Information Technology and Operations areas of the Fifth Third Bank. He leads more than 3,000 employees in the Information Technology and Operations divisions in providing innovative solutions and services that support the key strategic pillars of the Company. He and his teams provide technology planning, program management, application development, IT infrastructure management and support all back office and call center activities in servicing Fifth Third's nearly six million customers. He joined Fifth Third Bank in 2004 as senior vice president of Enterprise Solutions, with responsibility for company-wide IT platforms. In November 2006, he was appointed to director of central operations where he was responsible for leading Fifth Third Bank's back office functions and call center services. Robinson was promoted to chief information officer in May 2008 and appointed head of IT and Operations in September 2009. Prior to joining Fifth Third Bank, Robinson was a line of business chief information officer for GE Insurance, a division of General Electric. He also previously ran operations for GE Insurance and was responsible for the call center and claims operations for the Long-Term Care business unit.
