About the Person
John Nye is responsible for managing ProcessUnity’s Enterprise and Vendor Risk Management Solutions. Prior to joining the company in 2013, John served as the head of Information Security for SoundBite Communications, a publicly-traded technology service provider with clients in the financial services, insurance, healthcare, utility, and telecommunications industries. During his nearly two decades as an information security, business continuity and risk management professional, John has worked in a variety of consulting and management roles – specializing in the development and execution of risk and security assessment programs used to protect information and manage corporate risk throughout the extended enterprise. John is best known for his work developing third party risk assessment methodologies and metrics-based risk scoring techniques used to manage information risk beyond the enterprise. Most notably, John created the Vendor Information Risk (VIR) Rating assessment methodology for Moody’s. Prior to joining Moody’s, John was a Managing Security Architect at the noted information security consultancy, @stake, Inc. He went on to become the Senior Manager of the Infrastructure Security Advisory Services team in the Northeast after the firm was acquired by Symantec Corp. John holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Boston University.
