John Collier is the Corporate Vice President and Global Chief Architect of ISD Architecture for Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. He joined Wal-Mart in 2008. In his current role as Vice President and Chief Architect, he is responsible for leading the Global ISD Enterprise Architecture and Solution Architecture team. Prior to joining Wal-Mart, John was Senior Vice President, IT Strategy, Architecture and Pre-Production at Bank of America and Countrywide Financial Corporation. He also worked for Williams-Sonoma, a $4B specialty retailer, in several cross-functional roles including architecture, engineering and governance. At Globallinx Networks Inc, a provider of online managed information, entertainment and partnership portal for the hospitality industry, John operated as the Co-Founder, Vice President of Business Development, and member of the Board of Directors, where he led innovation, business development and digital partner integrations. In 1993 John founded 2C Productions, LLC, an ideation, design and patent venture investment preparation firm, where he served as General and Principal Ideation Partner. He worked with cross-industry leaders like Intel, Panasonic, Hitachi, and HP. John also held other technology leadership roles including Principal of Information Technology at HDR, Inc a national leader in engineering services. He has more than 20 years of ideation, architecture, and technology leadership experience and currently sits on the Board of Directors for United Way.
