About the Person
Jim Trout has served as President and CEO of Vantage Data Centers from its inception in 2010, bringing to bear over two decades of wholesale data center design and operational expertise to this first – ever next-gen data center company. Prior to Vantage, he served as SVP, Portfolio and Technical Operations, with full P&L responsibility, for Digital Realty Trust, a publicly held wholesale data center company. He has held senior C–level positions in the data center vertical at Proferian, CoreSite and TeraSpace Networks. Jim is a Founding member of the private REIT, Security Capital Industrial Trust, an operating subsidiary of Security Capital Group, which later launched an initial public offering to become ProLogis, the world’s largest public REIT of industrial facilities globally. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science, Chemical and Materials Engineering, from the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Jim currently lives in San Francisco.
