About the Person

Jim Thompson is responsible for the design, development and support of the ClearPath Libra line of mainframe computer systems. He manages the hardware, software and system design teams driving innovation and inspired thinking with the aim being tightly integrated hardware and software solutions within the ClearPath product line. Areas of interest and expertise include Pay-for-Use business models, metering technology, specialty engines/function specific processing; multi-tenant (cloud) processing environments; systems automation, and enterprise-wide integration. Jim views himself as the steward for the ClearPath MCP architecture.
