He fills a hole left with the retirement Laurie Neinast after 31 years with the City’s ITS department and her track record of many successful projects with the City’s ITS department. Hamersley most recently served as the Security and Compliance Chief for the State of California – EDD. Overall he brings 23 years of public and private executive and IT experience, including positions as Chief Information Officer for California’s Kings County and Cache Creek Casino Resort. Hamersley has a bachelor’s degree in computer science information systems from DeVry University and an information technology manager's graduate from the University of California Los Angeles. He holds multiple information technology industry certificates.
