About the Person
Jean Wilson is the VP of Information Services at L.L. Bean in Freeport, ME. In this role, she is responsible for all technology utilized throughout the company. Prior to her 11 years at L.L. Bean, Wilson worked at UNUM Life Insurance Company where she held a variety of leadership roles in Information Technology and Risk Management. She began her career as a computer-programmer at Merrill Lynch and Chemical Bank in New York City. Wilson graduated from Bates College with a major in Mathematics. She went on to earn a Master of Science degree in Statistics at New York University. Wilson currently is the Chair of the ConnectME Authority, commissioned by the Governor of Maine, with the purpose of increasing broadband coverage throughout the state. Additionally, Wilson is VP of the Board of Trustees for the Cancer Community Center in South Portland, Maine. She is also a member of both the Advisory Board for the Bates Dance Festival, and the USM Computer Science Advisory Council.
