About the Company

Fulton County was formed from DeKalb County in 1853, and then consolidated with Milton and Campbell Counties in 1932. That`s why it has such an unusual, elongated shape. Of Georgia`s 159 counties, Fulton County was the 144th to be created. The Fulton name honors Robert Fulton, the inventor who built the Clermont, the first commercially successful steamboat, in 1807.

 

About the Person

Jay Terrell, chief technology officer for Fulton County in Georgia, is a SonicWALL customer that will be looking into this BYOD mobility approach as the county government moves forward with its mobile strategy. At present, Fulton County has just begun migrating off corporate-issued BlackBerry devices to primarily Android use. In the past, the county has allowed some BYOD use if the employee consents to use AirWatch mobile device management software.
