Austin, TX-based Omiro has Appointed Jay Oh as Chief Technology Officer
Omiro, founded in 2013, is a group of people who have banded together to promote news stories outside the mainstream. It publishes user-generated videos called NEWSRIPs that present current events and news to an audience seeking an innovative presentation of the issues that they face everyday. Many of its NEWSRIPs will be ripped from the headlines, but there’s a lot of other good stuff out there and no outlet to report it.
Jay Oh is a seasoned entrepreneur who served as a co-founder at Qwiki, the world’s first interactive video wiki information resource, sold to Yahoo in 2013. Prior to co-founding Qwiki, Oh served as U Network’s CTO, where he constructed their social networking and blogging site. He has also been awarded multiple patents for his work with actionable webpage advertisement and work involving the assembly of dynamic animated media for keyboard and string input. GetLikes, the #1 destination for Facebook Like Exchange, is Oh’s most recent development accomplishment.
