Jan Paul Marie Francis Verplancke serves as a Chief Information Officer and Group Head of Technology & Operations for Standard Chartered PLC. Mr. Verplancke is responsible for all systems development, technology support and banking operations. He has been instrumental in driving productivity gain and innovations. He served as Chief Information Officer at Dell for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, where he was responsible for the expansion of business in new markets and consolidation of back-office operations. He headed Systems for the Youth Category of Levis Strauss, U.S.A. He began his career at Levi Strauss in Brussels. He has been a Non Executive Director of Standard Chartered Bank since January 14, 2013. He served as Non Executive Director of Monitise Group Limited until September 1, 2011. He served as Director of Monitise plc from July 14, 2008 to September 01, 2011. He served as Director of Xchanging Solutions Limited (formerly, Cambridge Solutions Ltd.) from September 20, 2006 to April 9, 2009. Mr. Verplancke served as an Additional Director of Xchanging Solutions Limited from June 21, 2006 to September 20, 2006.
