Mr. James E. Mahoney has been the Vice President of Information Systems at Micron Technology Inc. since July 1, 1997. Mr. Mahoney joined Micron Technology in October 1981 and became one of the original pioneers in information systems at Micron Technology by making key contributions to the creation and growth of the core information technology infrastructure. For the next 15 years, Mr. Mahoney developed his technical perspective by working in a variety of areas in information technology, developing software applications for the Fab, Probe, Assembly, Test, Sales, Shipping, Finance, and Plant Ops departments. He also developed many systemwide applications and I/S programming tools. For the following ten years with the firm’s transition from a small memory chip company in Boise to an international semiconductor provider with global reach, Mr. Mahoney oversaw the overhaul of the firm’s IT infrastructure and IT business processes. More recently, his efforts have been focused on sponsoring an enterprise architecture approach to align information technology capabilities with the firm’s strategic objectives. Prior to becoming Vice President of Information Systems, Mr. Mahoney served as a Manager of many of the information technology disciplines within Information Systems. He is a Member of Advisory Board at Highway 12 Ventures and is an active member in the Boise CIO Forum sponsored by BSU. Mr. Mahoney was a Member of the Boise State University College of Business Advisory Board. He received a B.S. in Information Systems from Boise State University in 1981.
