About the Person
James M. Dubois, also known as Jim, has been Chief Information Officer and Corporate Vice President at Microsoft Corporation since January 1, 2014. Mr. Dubois is responsible for the company’s global security, infrastructure, IT messaging and business applications. Previously, Mr. Dubois served as Interim Chief Information Officer of Microsoft Corporation since May 2013 for six months and led a team of employees overseeing Microsoft IT applications, infrastructure, solution delivery and process excellence. A tech leader with a unique view of IT innovation and deep understanding of technical strategy, he has been at Microsoft for more than 20 years, during which time he has held several key leadership positions, including General Manager of IT and Vice President of Microsoft Products and Services IT. Mr. DuBois has served various other roles in Microsoft IT since joining it in 1993. He also served as Microsoft’s Chief Information Security Officer and spent several years living in Asia and then Europe learning the Microsoft field business while running the respective regional IT teams. Before joining Microsoft, Mr. DuBois worked for Accenture, focusing on financial and distribution systems. Mr. Dubois serves as Director of Expeditors International of Washington Inc.
