Jack is currently an independent technology consultant and advisor, primarily to the real estate industry. Previously, Jack was the Chief Technology Officer for the GoodLife Team, a nationally recognized and award winning residential real estate brokerage in Austin Texas. GoodLife Team was awarded the prized Inman Innovator of the year award for real estate brokerage in 2010, was featured by Apple as a business case study in 2011, covered by USA Today as a company gone paperless using apps and the iPad in 2012, and most recently Jack and CEO Krisstina Wise were both recognized as top 100 most influential leaders in the real estate industry. As the CTO for the Goodlife Team, Jack is responsible for the design of technology strategies to generate revenue for the brokerage and its agents, as well as technologies that reduce staff costs and create profit opportunities for the business. Jack formerly developed and led a 10 person technology consulting team servicing agents and brokers affiliated with Keller Williams Realty International. The team served over 200 clients in the franchise system over 3 years, generating 1.5M in revenue in 2007. At Keller Williams Realty International, Jack managed a technology team including software developers, web designers, and database administrators. From 2001-2004, his team developed the enterprise system to support the growth of the franchise from 10,000 agents to 60,000 agents and 600+ retail stores. Jack was also active in the Keller Williams system as an owner/investor in 6 franchises. Prior to his work in the real estate industry, Jack led a project team for a startup company providing hosted enterprise software solutions for K-12 school districts. He also designed hardware and software for ActivePower (NasdaqNM: ACPW), a green energy company providing power storage solutions based on high-energy flywheel technology. Jack holds a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Texas.
