About the Person
Hugh Fahy has over 25 years of experience in all aspects of service development, deployment and operations. As director of development for Betfair, he led a £25 million, three-year programme to rebuild its 24/7 trading platform and customer system. He also deployed the service delivery platform behind Vodafone’s mobile web proposition on a global scale. Hugh joined Betfair in 2009 as Director of Development, steering software engineering and architecture teams. He has recently been made Product Director of the Sports Exchange Business unit. Hugh has 25 years of practical international business experience, from South Africa and Hungary to the United States and the UK. Prior to joining Betfair, Hugh helped found and operate the VC backed mobile text betting service; betNOW. Hugh's earlier career was in Mobile Telephony working for Vodafone in various jurisdictions and for Motricity in the USA leading teams developing mobile products and services.
