The agency`s main responsibilities are managed by HPC staff and overseen by an 11-member board of commissioners. HPC staff and commissioners work collaboratively to monitor and improve the performance of the health care system. The agency`s core mission is to manage and protect water resources in 16 counties from Orlando to the Florida Keys by balancing and improving flood control, water quality, natural systems and water supply. It is the oldest and largest of the state`s five water management districts.
