Arlington, VA-based Telecommunications Industry Association has appointed Herb Congdon as vice president of technology.
The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) is the leading association representing manufacturers and suppliers of high-tech communications networks. The products and services of TIA’s member companies empower communications in every industry and market, including healthcare, education, security, public safety, transportation, government, the military, the environment, and entertainment. TIA enhances the business environment for companies involved in telecommunications, broadband, mobile wireless, information technology, networks, cable, satellite, unified communications, emergency communications and the greening of technology. Members receive access to policy advocacy, standards development, market intelligence and business development opportunities. TIA is an ANSI-accredited Standards Development Organization.
Previously Congdon worked as an engineer and product specialist at Siecor (now Corning Cable Systems).
