The Maryland Department of Human Services is the state`s primary social services provider, reaching more than one million people annually. Through our 24 local departments of social services, we pursue opportunities to assist people in economic need, provide preventive services, and protect vulnerable children and adults in each of Maryland`s 23 counties and Baltimore City.
The Office of Administration combines and coordinates the central management functions of state government. OA provides services for state agencies and serves as the state`s administrative office.
