About the Person

Giancarlo Currarino is leading O-I's technology group in the pursuit of new capabilities to enhance the manufacture of glass containers. He has direct responsibility for the company's engineering, research and development, machine manufacturing and equipment sales, as well as licensing functions. Currarino brings extensive and geographically-diverse knowledge of the company to his role, having served in various engineering and operations management positions in both Latin America and North America since joining O-I in 2000. Prior to his current role, Currarino served as vice president of global engineering and the first general manager for O-I's global engineering organization in Peru.
