Gerard Spans has beenserving at the position of Chief Information Officer of ARCADIS since January 1, 2013. His main focus there is to implement the Information Technology (IT) strategy for ARCADIS, aimed at improving the contribution of IT to the business, while at the same time making IT more cost efficient. Gerard Spans comes from the position of Group Director and CIO at Rexam Plc., based in London. Prior to Rexam he worked as CIO of Philips Lighting, and Sara Lee International, and as management consultant for Accenture Consulting.
