About the Person
Gary Ardell is Chief Information Officer of ConvergEx Group. In this role, Mr. Ardell is responsible for the technical infrastructure, information services, software development, business processes and strategic relationships at ConvergEx Group and for directing company resources in support of accelerating new product development and innovation worldwide. He also serves as the firm’s Head of Business Strategy Development and Head of Financial Engineering and Advanced Trading Solutions (FEATS). Prior to joining ConvergEx Group, Mr. Ardell served as the head of financial engineering at Fidelity Capital Markets. This group developed Fidelity’s algorithmic trading products as well as operating one of the largest automated equity market making operations in the U.S. Mr. Ardell received his bachelor’s degree from Colorado University in electrical engineering and his Ph.D. from Stanford’s School of Economic-Engineering Systems.
