HealthSource Saginaw, Inc. (HealthSource), under the direction of President and CEO, Lisa M. Lapham, is located at 3340 Hospital Road in Saginaw, Michigan. HealthSource was known as Saginaw County Hospital upon its establishment by the County of Saginaw in 1929 under Public Act 177 of 1925 as a tuberculosis sanatorium. In 1971, the hospital changed its name from Saginaw County Hospital to Saginaw Community Hospital. The organization was incorporated in 1991 as a Municipal Health Facilities Organization under Public Act 230 of 1987 and also qualified for 501(c)3, not-for-profit corporation status by the Internal Revenue Service. In 1994, the hospital was renamed HealthSource Saginaw, Inc. We are located in Saginaw Township, a suburban area, approximately ten (10) miles from the Center of the City of Saginaw.
The Outaouais Integrated Health and Social Services Center (CISSS) was born on April 1, 2015. It is the result of the integration of five health and social services centers (CSSS): Gatineau, Pontiac, Collines, Vallée-de-la-Gatineau and Papineau, as well as a rehabilitation center in physical disabilities (the Rehabilitation Center La RessourSe), a rehabilitation center for intellectual disabilities and pervasive development disorder (Pavillon du Parc), an addiction rehabilitation center (CRDO), Outaouais Youth Centers and the Outaouais Health and Social Services Agency, following the adoption of the Act to amend the organization and governance of the health and social services network, in particular by the abolition of regional agencies. Relying on the competence, commitment and pride of all its employees, doctors, midwives and partners, CISSS Outaouais aims to improve the health status of the population.
Cancer Care Ontario (CCO) – an Ontario government agency – drives quality and continuous improvement in disease prevention and screening, the delivery of care and the patient experience, for cancer, chronic kidney disease, as well as access to care for key health services. Known for its innovation and results-driven approaches, CCO leads multi-year system planning, contracts for services with hospitals and providers, develops and deploys information systems, establishes guidelines and standards, and tracks performance targets to ensure system-wide improvements in cancer, chronic kidney disease – through the Ontario Renal Network – and access to care. Formally launched and funded by the provincial government in 1997, we are governed by an act of legislation called The Cancer Act. As an operational service agency of government, we are accountable to the Minister of Health and Long-Term Care. The details of our relationship with the Ministry are laid out in a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). We follow the management principles of the Government of Ontario. These principles include ethical behavior, accountability, excellence in management, wise use of public funds, high-quality service to the public and equitable access to high-quality service. We are authorized by the Personal Health Information Protection Act to collect and use personal health information to carry out our role in planning and managing the cancer system.
