About the Person
Fred Kemmerer is an experienced telecommunications executive with a broad background across a variety of communications technologies, including wireless, IP, multiservice switching and routing, next-generation core networks and broadband access. GENBAND’s CTO since 2008, his leadership and expertise has played an integral role in helping the company assume a global leadership role in providing industry-leading technology and network transformation solutions to the top telecommunications operators around the world. Prior to joining GENBAND, Mr. Kemmerer held leadership positions at Lucent and Alcatel-Lucent, including technical compliance officer, where he provided technical guidance and consulted with multiple U.S. government agencies on current and next-generation communications network architecture and security. He holds a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and a bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University, where he studied Electrical Engineering.
