Department of Examiners of Public Accounts is the independent legislative audit agency for the State of Alabama. The Department has the authority to perform audits of the accounts of all entities receiving or disbursing public funds. By the fall of 2016, about 90% of all Texas Medicaid/CHIP beneficiaries will be enrolled under full-risk capitated managed care. Including Federal dollars, managed care in Texas Medicaid/CHIP is presently about $20 Billion per year in premiums, covering some 4 million beneficiaries, and contracting with over 20 managed care organizations.
