About the Person
Edwin Marcial has been the Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Intercontinentalexchange Group, Inc. since May 2000. Mr. Marcial is responsible for all systems development and Intercontinental Exchange overall technology strategy. He oversees the software design and development initiatives of IntercontinentalExchange information technology professionals in the areas of project management, software development, quality assurance and security. He joined the software development team at CPEX in 1996 and has 14 years of IT experience building large-scale systems in the energy industry. Prior to joining Continental Power Exchange, Inc. (CPEX), he led design and development teams at GE-Harris building software applications for the GE-Harris's energy management systems. Mr. Marcial earned a BS degree in Computer Science from the College of Engineering at the University of Florida.
