Ed Smith serves as chief technology officer for AutoTrader Group (ATG), the largest automotive marketplace and leading provider of software solutions to auto dealers throughout the U.S. Smith leads all of ATG's technology functions including strategic initiatives, enterprise architecture, enterprise data management, technology business operations, enterprise platforms and enterprise infrastructure & operations. Ed joins the AutoTrader.com team from Alere, a global medical device and managed healthcare company with approximately $2.5B in revenue, where he was the Chief Information Officer and President of Technology Services. Prior to his tenure at Alere, Ed was the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, US Consumer Information Solutions at Equifax, Chief Technology Officer of the Homeland Security Practice of Unisys Corporation, and a financial services partner with Accenture, the global consulting firm. Smith holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Physics from Indiana University.
