About the Person
Ed Escobedo, Chief of Staff for the Chief Business Operating Officer, joined the University of Phoenix in May 2009. He is a seasoned senior executive and has expertise in global infrastructure operations, organizational transformation and operational excellence. He brings more than 30 years of experience to his leadership role within the University. Prior to joining the University of Phoenix, Ed was the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the Apollo Group. As the CIO, Ed was responsible for Apollo's technology development and student services infrastructure and led a 1200-person, $190M global operation. Before that at Deutsche Post World Net (DHL), Ed led the America’s headquartered, 700-person global IT Services organization. As a Vice President of Technology at Charles Schwab, Ed held a number of senior executive leadership positions including: Head of Web Trading Operations, VP of Systems and Network Integration and Head of Mainframe Technologies.
