Donald Phillips will be responsible for leading the Information Technology staff in academic computing support, enterprise applications systems and services, networking and telecommunications, information security, data center operations and user support, as well as training and outreach. He will build and sustain effective partnerships and collaborations with academic and administrative departments, maintain a service-oriented and agile information technology organization, and ensure a reliable and secure technology infrastructure. He will play an integral role in the technology infrastructure of Walsh's planned global academic center that will house state of the art technology and collaborative teaching and learning spaces. Phillips comes to Walsh University from the Cleveland Heights - University Heights City School District in the Cleveland area. There he played a key role in bringing 21st Century technologies into the school system as the Director of Information of Technology. Previous employment includes Fortune 500 company Rockwell Automation where Phillips led technology projects as an IT Project Manager. Phillips holds a B.S. from John Carroll University, an M.S. from Case Western Reserve University, and received his law degree (J.D.) from the University of Akron.
