USG Corporation is a manufacturer and distributor of high-performance building systems through its United States Gypsum Company, USG Interiors, LLC, L&W Supply Corporation and other subsidiaries. Headquartered in Chicago, USG`s worldwide operations serve the commercial, residential, and repair and remodel construction markets. USG`s wall, ceiling, flooring and roofing products provide leading-edge building solutions for customers, while L&W Supply branch locations efficiently stock and deliver building materials nationwide.
Dominic A. Dannessa is Executive Vice President, Chief Operations and Innovation Officer. He also oversees USG’s Corporate Innovation Center in Libertyville, Ill. Dannessa graduated with a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Youngstown State University. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering at the University of Illinois at Chicago. His previous assignments include vice president, Global Supply Chain, Information Technology and Corporate Efficiency Initiatives; executive vice president, Manufacturing, Building Systems; senior vice president, Supply Chain Management, Customer Relationship Management and Information Technology; senior vice president, Manufacturing, Ceilings and Supply Chain Management, Building Systems. Dannessa joined United States Gypsum Company in 1978. Dannessa currently serves on the board of directors of USG Boral; USG Zawawi Gypsum LLC; USG Zawawi Wallboard and USG Middle East. He also serves on the board of directors of Gypsum Engineering Company. Dannessa is active in the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) and the Harvard University’s Joint Center for Housing Studies. He is also an advisory board member for Catholic Charities of Chicago. Dannessa is a member of the Naval War College Foundation, the United States Merchant Marine Academy Superintendent’s Council and Parent’s Association, and the Rhode Island School of Design Parent’s Association.
