About the Person

Dianne Bailey was originally hired by the hospital in the role of Administrative Secretary in 1998, and has advanced through the positions of Medical Staff Coordinator, Information Systems Coordinator and Manager of Health Information Technology, with her determination and the support and training opportunities provided to her by the hospital. A new position at the hospital, the Chief Information Officer is the executive that oversees the operation of the information technology department, and provides technology vision and leadership in the development and implementation of the hospital`s information technology program. In her new role, Dianne will also assume the duties of Compliance, HIPAA Privacy & HIPAA Security Officer. During her tenure at Pana Community Hospital, Dianne has successfully implemented several advances to the hospital`s information technology, including the implementation of a new hospital information system. With Dianne`s leadership, Pana Community Hospital has successfully attested to Meaningful Use Stage 2, excelling in the effort as one of only 17 % U.S. hospitals to reach that level by the end of 2014. Meaningful Use Stage 2 is an incentive program created by the Affordable Care Act that defines the advanced and stringent requirements for the use of electronic health records. Dianne graduated summa cum laude from Millikin University with a Bachelors Degree in Organizational Leadership in 2015. She is a member of the Health Information Management Systems Society, an organization "transforming health through IT".
