About the Person

Diana L. McKenzie has been the Chief Information Officer of Workday, Inc. since February 3, 2016. Prior to joining Workday, Ms. McKenzie served as Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President at Amgen Inc., where she spent 12 years applying leading-edge analytics and information technology (IT) to continually drive competitive advantage for the company. During her nearly three decades of experience, she has been an active leader in various trade, technology, and governmental organizations and in 2015 and was recognized as one of the "Top 50 Most Powerful Women in Technology" by the National Diversity Council. Ms. McKenzie was responsible for leading Amgen’s Global Information Systems organization. Ms. McKenzie joined Amgen in 2004 as Executive Director of Information Systems. Previously, she served 17 years at Eli Lilly in roles of increasing responsibility within Information Systems supporting R&D, Commercial Product Development and IT Architecture, Strategy, and Planning. She served as a Founding Board Member for Clinical Research Information Exchange (CRIX) International and chaired the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) trade association’s Information Management Leadership Committee. Ms. McKenzie received her Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Purdue University’s School of Computer Technology in 1986 and was recognized by the University as a Distinguished Alumni in the spring of 2004.
