Dennis Rice is responsible for technology innovation, process improvement and information systems management for AmeriCares offices worldwide. Rice brings nearly 30 years of experience in the information technology field, most recently serving as chief information officer at MAP International in Georgia. Rice first joined MAP International in 1985, taking on positions of increasing responsibility before leaving to serve as an engineer and systems consultant with SalianTech, Inc. in 2002. During this period, he had significant involvement with Microsoft and was directly involved in a number of new Microsoft technology platform projects for five years as a part of the Microsoft MVP Technology Program, including serving as a contributing writer for Microsoft’s Expert Zone on their corporate website. Rice also successfully led his own IT consulting firm for six years and served as a co-founder, managing partner and editor of GottaBeMobile.com, a technology news website. He returned to MAP in 2008 as Chief Information Officer, where he served on the executive team and managed a successful four-year Enterprise Resource Planning implementation project.
