About the Person
For more than 15 years, Dena Speranza has worked with private universities, including Capital University and Ohio Dominican University, to provide expertise in information technology management. Speranza also has served as a senior consultant with Centric Consulting, most recently in the business transformation area at Nationwide Insurance, and as principal consultant and chief operating officer at AWH, a thriving software development small business in Dublin, Ohio. In addition, she performed in information technology management roles for Asbury University in Kentucky and Regent University in Virginia. In her new role, Speranza will lead Denison’s talented Information Technology Services team to optimize technology resources and processes, and assess these services regularly to promote continued delivery of exceptional service in its four divisions, which include educational technology services, enterprise applications, information technology security and technical services. In addition to her work, Speranza is enterprising in other activities, which include attaining her professional coach certification, mentoring start-up entrepreneurs, scuba diving, and volunteering at her church.
