Darren Person is currently the SVP and CTO global product technology for Elsevier where he is responsible for driving technology strategy and execution across the portfolio of digital products. Formerly, Person was the chief architect for Elsevier where he created strategic imperatives such as the CloudFirst strategy and open source migration initiatives. Before coming to Elsevier, Person was the CTO for the CBS television stations digital media group where he helped change the DNA of the local television station business and created a robust technology platform to enable real-time content distribution across all CBS TV properties. Prior to joining CBS, Person was director of development for new media at Lifetime Entertainment, a leading online entertainment and women's community network. He was directly responsible for all new media technology operations and development for Lifetime including their flagship website lifetimetv.com.
