About the Person

Daniel Edelman has joined Deaconess as the chief medical information officer. In this role, Dr. Edelman is responsible for leading the development, deployment and consistent usage of Deaconess’ fully-integrated electronic medical record and other clinical information systems that assist clinicians and hospital personnel in the delivery of high-quality patient care with an emphasis on patient safety.

Dr. Edelman earned his medical degree from the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri, in 2001. Dr. Edelman completed his internal medicine residency at the Miami Heart Institute in Miami Beach, Florida, in 2004, and is board certified in internal medicine. Prior to joining Deaconess, Dr. Edelman was the chief medical informatics officer at Martin Memorial Health System in Stuart, Florida.
