About the Person

Cynthia B. Nash, also known as Cindy, has more than 25 years of experience in the technology sector, most recently as Executive Vice President and CIO at Windstream Communications. Her role is one of a number of senior management positions at telcos over the past decades. Nash was vice president of information systems at CenturyTel, well prior to that company's transformation into Tier 1 carrier CenturyLink. And just before joining Windstream, she served as CIO at Valor Telecom, the precursor to Windstream. That ILEC, initially formed from acquiring properties from GTE in the early 2000s, merged with Alltel to form the current Windstream in 2006. She served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Valor Telecommunications LLC and Valor Communications Group Inc. since January 2004. In April 2002, Ms. Nash joined Valor Communications Group Inc., as Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. She has worked in the telecommunications industry since 1986. Ms. Nash held various positions of increasing responsibility with CenturyTel, Inc., including Vice President of Information Technology from January 2001 to April 2002, Director of the Program Management Office and Customer Care from September 2000 to January 2001, Director, Applications Development from December 1999 to September 2000 and Director, Telco Applications from September 1997 to December 1999. Ms. Nash has over 17 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. She serves on the board of directors of Easter Seals Arkansas and on the University of Arkansas at Little Rock’s Management Information Systems Advisory Board. Ms. Nash holds a bachelor`s degree in Business Administration from Northeast Louisiana University and an Executive MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas.
