About the Company
QualMetrix was founded in 2012 by coupling cutting edge technology with seasoned health care executives with over 150 years of hands on experience. Our medical leadership includes physicians who have served in the capacity of Medical Director of national health plans as well as others who successfully founded and led a national medical management company that paid approximately $500mm annually in health care claims. It was during this time that these individuals became leaders in the profiling of providers, patients, and disease. Our technology team has helped us create a robust and dynamic database which when coupled with our proprietary business intelligence tool provides information to our clients that will help them control the cost of care, enhance the quality of care, and help them succeed in the new era of health care reform.
About the Person
Cristian Ilie brings over 15 years of experience delivering high value technology solutions that transform the way healthcare organizations interact with information and make critical business decisions. He co-founded Visual Intelligence, a leading analytics company, and is an expert in large scale data warehouse and business intelligence development, with a deep focus in advanced analytics, visualization techniques, data mining and modeling. Prior to founding Visual Intelligence, Ilie led an innovation team for a large Blue Cross plan, evaluating emerging technologies in informatics and applying them to core business challenges. Previously, he worked for Spotfire, leading numerous engagements, and for UPMC Health System as Biostatistics Manager. Ilie holds two Masters degrees, one in Health Information Management and Medical Informatics from the University of Pittsburgh and one in Healthcare Administration/Policy Research from Pennsylvania State University. He has a B.S. in Biology Sciences from Pennsylvania State University.
