charity: water is a non-profit bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations. Since 2006, we`ve funded 20,056 water projects in 24 developing countries. When complete, these projects will provide clean, safe drinking water for more than 6.3 million people. Nearly 663 million people don’t have access to clean drinking water, that`s one in ten of us. Diseases from dirty water kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war. The good news: there are simple solutions, from deep drilled wells to water filtration systems. And with the help of 400,000+ donors and individual fundraisers, we`re forming a strong force against the water crisis.

United Way for Greater Austin inspires, leads, and unites an eclectic community of philanthropists including individuals, nonprofits, business and government to overcome barriers to economic opportunities and ensure Greater Austin continues to thrive. United Way for Greater Austin`s work is research-based and results driven and resources are invested so that everyone has access to the promise of Austin. UWATX is involved in the Greater Austin community by running strategic programs such as Success By 6, Target Graduation, Financial Opportunity and the Navigation Center.
