The purpose of the Indiana Department of Insurance is to protect Hoosiers as they purchase and use insurance products to keep their assets and their families from loss or harm. Consumers may need assistance with certain claim situations or just help in understanding how their policies work. Our other primary obligation is to monitor the financial solvency of the insurance companies domiciled in Indiana so that the legal promises made in insurance policies are honored. To these ends, our Department staff is committed to providing exceptional customer service for both our consumers and our companies, and to maintain a fair and objective viewpoint as we examine each issue and circumstance within our jurisdiction.
The Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) works to promote safety, protect the environment, and conserve resources offshore through vigorous regulatory oversight and enforcement. BSEE is the U.S. offshore oil, natural gas, and renewable energy regulator. The bureau was formally established on October 1, 2011 as part of a major reorganization of the Department of the Interior`s offshore regulatory structure. Key functions include: - An offshore regulatory program that develops standards and regulations and emphasizes a culture of safety in all offshore activities; - Oil spill response preparation including review of industry Oil Spill Response Plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements; -Environmental enforcement with a focus on compliance by operators with all applicable environmental regulations, as well as ensuring that operators adhere to the stipulations of their approved leases, plans and permits; - And funding scientific research to enhance the information and technology needed to build and sustain the organizational, technical and intellectual capacity within and across BSEE`s key functions that keeps pace with industry technological improvements, innovates regulation and enforcement and reduces risk through systematic assessment and regulatory and enforcement actions in order to better carry out the BSEE mission. The bureau maintains regional offices in Anchorage, Alaska, Camarillo, Calif., and New Orleans, La., with additional district offices along the Gulf of Mexico coast.

The National Cyber-Forensics & Training Alliance (NCFTA) is a non-profit corporation founded in 2002, focused on identifying, mitigating, and neutralizing cyber crime threats globally. The NCFTA operates by conducting real time information sharing and analysis with Subject Matter Experts (SME) in the public, private, and academic sectors. Through these partnerships, the NCFTA proactively identifies cyber threats in order to help partners take preventive measures to mitigate those threats. The NCFTA has a proven track record and has long been identified as the model for private/public partnerships. Today, the NCFTA model, best practices, and lessons learned are being leveraged and emulated in countries around the world. Our membership is constantly growing both nationally and internationally across private industry, law enforcement, government, and academia. Collaboration with partners has resulted in countless criminal and civil investigations having been initiated, that otherwise may not have been addressed. To date, the NCFTA has provided intelligence which has aided in the successful prosecution of hundreds of cyber criminals worldwide. Furthermore, the NCFTA has produced more than 800 cyber threat intelligence reports over in the past three years alone to support our various initiatives and partners.
