Castle Rock, CO-based BEW Global has Appointed Chuck Bloomquist as Chief Technology Officer
In 2002, Robert Eggebrecht and Chuck Bloomquist were visionary in seeing the need for a methodology and portfolio of services to build and maintain effective programs for protecting data and critical assets. For the first five years, the co-founders were dedicated to educating the marketplace on the benefits of ISO 27001 certification with a focus on quality management concepts of continuous improvement and measurement. Through the years, they have pioneered the service model for designing, implementing and managing data loss prevention (DLP) systems and associated programs with an emphasis on creating and maintaining Critical Asset Protection Programs.
In 2002, Chuck and Rob had a vision of creating a service-driven company comprised of a team of innovative, talented and caring people who work closely together to build and maintain effective Critical Asset Protection Programs (CAPPs) and provide comprehensive solutions that exceed client expectations. They wanted to create a company that prides itself on the relationships it develops with customers. Relationships built on trust as a result of delivering nothing less than the highest quality service. From that vision BEW Global was born and became much more than a company, but rather a philosophy and an approach to business that starts with a promise. By creating complex, dynamic and perfectly-crafted solutions for each of its customers, BEW Global elevates data security to a whole new level. Like pieces of a puzzle, everything must fit together with great precision. To accomplish this, Chuck leads a team that investigates the integrity and functionality of every component to ensure that they perform as expected in order to deliver a comprehensive and highly effective solution. This process not only ensures complete system integration and functionality, but it also allows BEW to more fully harness the potential of the implemented technology. Following this strategic approach, Chuck is able to anticipate customer needs along with the ever-changing and evolving risks present in a dynamic market. With more than 25 years of experience in information technology, operations, and project management, Chuck is considered a pioneer in service delivery and support for Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and other supporting technology platforms. He developed the BEW Global Payment Card Industry (PCI) practice and built the foundation for the Intelisecure managed service operation. Chuck has had extensive exposure to complex computing environments with vast global operations requiring a combination of business process mapping and advanced technical applications. He excels in information and network security project design and development, network and application integration and project management, and global help desk design and operations. Chuck holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M, and a master’s degree in information systems from University of Colorado, Colorado Springs and has held senior leadership positions with many large communications and technology companies, including Kit Carson Rural Electric Cooperative, Productive Data Systems, TicketMaster, and USA.net. He is not afraid to get down in the trenches with his team and certainly doesn’t mind getting dirty. We know this to be especially true given his passion for the outdoors and extreme sports including motocross racing.
