A Pacific Northwest native, Chris Van Liew holds the position of director, Office of the CIO at Weyerhaeuser company, as part of a high performance IT Leadership Council approach with two other directors. As a 20-year veteran of Weyerhaeuser, Van Liew has performed a broad set of IT roles, working in infrastructure, application development, project management, enterprise applications, and managing a wide variety of project and operational teams over the past decade. In 2009/10, his tenure included a tour of duty with the Weyerhaeuser strategic planning function working on the company vision and developing a new business venture plan. In addition to his role in Weyerhaeuser’s Office of the CIO, Van Liew currently leads IT supplier management, corporate procurement, infrastructure services, IT security and the IT architecture functions.
