About the Person

Chris Petersen cofounded LogRhythm in 2003 and serves as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and a member of the company’s Board of Directors. An industry thought leader and respected authority on cyber security, he is responsible for the technical direction and development of LogRhythm’s award-winning and patented security intelligence solutions.  Petersen’s 20+ years of experience in cyber security and information assurance includes the development of the Price Waterhouse Enterprise Security Architecture System, leading an engineering group at Ernst & Young that produced one of the industry’s first managed security services and the leading information assurance portal, eSecurityOnline. He was instrumental in bringing to market Counterpane's Managed Security Service and led Product Marketing for the Dragon Intrusion Detection system at Enterasys, helping drive it to a market leading position. Petersen served as a faculty member for the Institute for Applied Network Security.  He is a frequent speaker at information security conferences and an often quoted cyber security expert in a variety of media outlets. He holds a degree in Accounting/Information Systems from Colorado State University.
