Good Shepherd Medical Center is the areas preferred hospital with a strong history and reputation for providing high quality, compassionate medical care. A full service, acute-care 425-bed regional referral center, Good Shepherd operates specialty nursing units including cardiology, orthopaedics, general surgery, neurology/neurosurgery, oncology, critical care, obstetrics and pediatrics, where nurses are able to provide specialized care.

About the Person

Chris Blakemore comes from a directorship at Cornerstone Advisors Group, a specialized East Coast consulting firm providing health information technology and strategic advisory services. Blakemore is a senior healthcare leader with over 30 years of experience leading strategic inpatient, outpatient, and ambulatory clinical and financial systems initiatives for both small and large, complex healthcare organizations. During his twenty years of working in the MEDITECH arena, Mr. Blakemore has directed enterprise-wide implementations efforts for start-up hospitals and large complex, multi-regional health systems. Mr. Blakemore combines his financial and Information Technology experience to identifying, quantifying and delivering business value from information technology investments. Prior to joining Cornerstone Advisors, Mr. Blakemore served as Associate Chief Information Officer for CHRISTUS Health, an Integrated Delivery Network with more than forty hospitals and over 400 IT professionals. Previously, Blakemore has served in a variety of leadership positions in for-profit health ventures including acute and psychiatric healthcare, home health and clinical laboratories. Mr. Blakemore is a member of the Health Information Systems Society. He has an undergraduate degree in business from Central Missouri University and a Master’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington.
