About the Person
Chong P. Huan, 57, has joined the company as chief information officer, directing all information technology initiatives for Inland and its member companies. In addition, Huan will serve as chief executive officer of Inland Computer Services, Inc., Inland’s in-house IT and computer services department. Huan most recently served as chief technology officer and head of infrastructure for Cole Real Estate Investments, where he was responsible for aligning IT strategy with business development, as well as strategic planning and information management to enable capital raising, acquisitions and growing shareholder value. During his tenure there, he oversaw a shift to a cloud-based managed service model that improved efficiency and cost management. Under his leadership, the company was recognized in the 2013 Information Week 500 for business technology innovation. Prior to joining Cole, Huan was the principal and founder of CIR-Solutions LLC, an IT consulting firm; chief technology officer for Citi Global Investment Research, a financial analyst company operating globally; senior information officer for AIG Investments and chief information officer for New York Life Investment Management, a $210 billion investment subsidiary of New York Life. Huan received his Executive Master of Technology Management degree from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a master’s in business administration from Northeastern University. He holds a Bachelor of Science with honors in Engineering from Oxford, England. In addition, he is a Moore Fellow at Penn Engineering.
