The Director of Human Resources will provide HR leadership to the Twin Falls manufacturing organization. The individual in this role will serve as a key resource and business partner to operations, R&D, and Global engineering. The focus will be to improve plant performance and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Working closely with key leadership, the Director of Human Resources will facilitate the development and maintenance of effective human resources programs and practices.
The responsibilities of this position include:
• Act as a consultative leader and resource for the Twin Falls operations management team with regard to all human resource matters.
• Provide leadership in the deployment of HR initiatives, develop and implement human resource policies, practices and programs to support the attainment of business goals and objectives.
• Identify client needs, analyze trends and partner with both clients and other functional areas as needed to develop and deploy solutions in the following areas:
o Organizational design and team effectiveness
o Workforce planning
o Succession planning
o Leadership and management coaching
o Performance management
o Career coaching and mentoring
o HR compliance
• Serve as a business partner to the organization by attending business/staff meetings and understanding employee perspectives.
• Foster a results oriented culture through effective coaching and implementation of performance management process and tools.
• Manage and bring resolution to complex employee relations issues, conducting thorough and effective investigations as necessary.
• Partner with HR colleagues to ensure consistency in program frameworks and implementation in functional areas
• Provide input to compensation structure, decisions and incentives based on sound understanding of roles, career paths and organizational needs.
• Partner with Safety team to insure compliance with all Federal, State and local programs and encourage the development of a safety culture that is integrated in all areas of Chobani`s organization and involves employees at all levels. Support the implementation of a behavioral based safety program with preparation for VPP status.
• Lead change efforts and proactive process improvement of HR processes.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with leadership team and employees to advise both on employee related and organizational matters.
• Build/drive an energized and creative workforce.
• Champion diversity initiatives. Act as an impartial advocate for all employees.
• Supervise a staff of two direct reports.
The requirements of this position include:
• Bachelor`s degree, preferably in human resources or equivalent experience; MBA a plus.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive levels of experience in all aspects of human resources supporting manufacturing operations, preferably in the food industry.
• Experience implementing change management processes resulting in significant operations improvements.
• Prior experience working in a fast-paced, complex environment with a critical sense of urgency and focus on customer service.
• Strategic business partner and advisor to leadership with a solid track record of achievement.
• Outstanding communication, team building and interpersonal skills.
• Effective program and project management skills.
• Practical, well-rounded knowledge in the major human resources areas and in government compliance.
• Certified in process improvement tools such as Six Sigma, Lean or Resource Management preferable.
• SPHR or PHR preferred.
• Strong computer literacy (MS Office and HRIS systems), ERP knowledge desirable
